  2. Ensure your sound file uses this EXACT naming convention:
       "Bride Your Name.mp3"
Please do not include any punctuation or additional information. Any sound file format is acceptable.

  3. Send your file via email to petemalicki@gmail.com. If it is >20MB, send it via wetransfer.com

  5. Applications are due 5pm Wed 17 Feb.

Applicants who don't follow these instructions closely will be considered non-serious and ignored.

Role: Bride

The Bride is assertive and demanding but not a bitch. While appearing confident, she is actually quite lonely - but not quite desperate.

She is in her 30s. We are open to Australian, US or English accents.

Please record a performance of the following script excerpt. It should be no longer than 30-35s.

EXCERPT

And how about the heli... (SNEEZES) …sine. The helisine.

The helicopter limousine, dummy. Get Elon Musk to like, invent it pronto.

Okay, groom. We are totally on target. There’s still five months to go and I have six matches on Hot Flame and four on ComeOnCupid…

But… if they all turn out to be creepers or lame-os… maybe if you’re not doing anything that day, maybe you and I…?

TIPS

This is our second round of auditions. Here are some tips which came out of our first round:

  • some of the acting was too straight, rather than a distinct cartoon character
  • some actors sounded like they were doing radio advertisements - it's not an ad, it's a cartoon
  • there was a lot of overacting or overemphasising words or sentences. We want to hear a great voice with the right emotional range, but don't "try too hard" or go over the top
  • the voice did not suit the age and character of our bride.

Hopefully these pointers will help guide you towards your best audition!

Role: Wedding Planner

The Wedding Planner is a dapper, 40-something gentleman. He knows what he's doing... but he's not as assertive as he could be.

This is a minor role with only a few lines, most of which get cut off by an exuberant Bride.

WE ARE NOT CURRENTLY SEARCHING FOR THIS ROLE
