ONE-ACT PLAYS
CIRCUS OHS
COMEDY, 25MINS (2 MALE/2 FEMALE)
HOME SWEET NURSING HOME
COMEDY, 25MINS (1 MALE/2 FEMALE)
A mourning widow and her teenaged son get some bad news - they can no longer afford to keep grandma in the nursing home, and she is about to move in with them. Unfortunately for Bev, her new carer doesn't care for her at all. In fact, her grandson James only cares about himself and is perfectly willing to take advantage of his grandmother in any way he can, including forging her signature and hacking into her bank account. Will her daughter-in-law stand up for her, or will she also succumb to greed?
THE NEW INHABITANT
COMEDY, 25MINS (3 MALE)
Winner, Naked Theatre Company's "Write Now!" comp, 2002. The play opens with a man talking to God. He is told that he has just died, and will undergo a test to be given a second shot at life. His soul will be implanted in an inanimate object, with the power to say one thing and one thing only. Meanwhile, two uni students are hunting for a new flatmate. The guy who comes isn't exactly what they're looking for, but he really wants to move in. This is what happens when the Devil has plans for free university education.
VIRUS
COMEDY, 30MINS (2 MALE/2 FEMALE)
Four people who are living online as electronic copies of their real-life selves are thrown into panic when one of them gets a virus. Not a cough cough virus, but a your-operating-system-has-encountered-a-critical-error virus.
WHATEVER WILL BEWILDER
COMEDY, 25MINS (2 MALE/2 FEMALE)
A young man discusses the idea of 'randomness' with his flatmate and her girlfriend, when randomness comes to find them.
